Specialized equipment for the transportation of solid radioactive waste (TRW) has been delivered to the construction site of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. The delivery was carried out by NPP "Doza" as part of the creation of radioactive waste management infrastructure at the nuclear power plant.
The batch included three vehicles designed for TRW transportation. Among them is equipment for transporting waste of the third safety class. The equipment is designed for operation at nuclear power facilities and complies with the requirements for handling radioactive materials.
The delivery is intended to organize the safe movement of waste within the station's territory and will become part of the TRW management system at Akkuyu NPP.
"Pervy Tekhnichesky" previously reported on the transfer of unique titanium alloy instrumentation and control stands to the customer for power unit No. 1 of the Akkuyu NPP in Turkey. The supplier was the Russian engineering firm "Vest-Engineering".
