Working on classified ad sites can be a trap: The Ministry of Internal Affairs warned about a scam scheme

Participants are used as intermediaries in a criminal chain

The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported a common deception scheme in which fraudsters offer Russians part-time work by placing ads on free classified ad sites.

Applicants are promised easy earnings: they need to publish product cards and transfer contacts of respondents to the "employer". At the same time, they are asked to place ads from personal accounts.

After a few days, such accounts are usually blocked by platforms on suspicion of fraud. People do not receive the promised payments, and correspondence with the "employer" disappears.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasizes that the problem is not limited to losing money. By performing such tasks, a person effectively becomes part of a fraudulent scheme and helps criminals build communication channels with potential victims, bypassing platform restrictions and filters.

Such "vacancies" are used by fraudulent call centers to disseminate their offers and attract new contacts.

The agency recommends treating such offers with caution and remembering: legal work does not require using personal accounts to place other people's ads and communicate with clients.
