Moscow and St. Petersburg in a single outage: mobile internet massively "crashes"

A sharp increase in complaints was recorded on the night of May 5

In Moscow and St. Petersburg, there has been a sharp increase in complaints about problems with mobile internet and online services. This is evidenced by data from the monitoring service Detector404.

In St. Petersburg, the surge in complaints began on the night of May 5. Users report non-working mobile internet, application failures, and problems accessing websites. Among the services most frequently mentioned in complaints are Telegram, DeepSeek, T-Bank, Discord, and the internet provider "Skynet". Complaints are coming from Android and iOS devices.

A similar situation is observed in Moscow. According to Detector404, in the last hour, about 300 complaints have been recorded in the capital, and almost 2,900 over the past day. Most users complain about a general outage, as well as problems with mobile communications and messengers. It is separately noted that in some cases, even websites from "whitelists" do not open.

According to the service's statistics, 83% of complaints are related to general outages, another 11% to non-working applications, 3% to websites, and 2% to the services themselves. Among operators and platforms, MTS, Beeline, MegaFon, Yota, and Yandex Go are most frequently mentioned.

The official causes of the outages have not yet been named. Earlier, Beeline warned of possible mobile internet restrictions in Moscow from May 5 to May 9. Later, similar messages began to arrive for residents of St. Petersburg.
