At the Vostochny Cosmodrome, the installation of a stand for servicing and preparing the re-entry vehicle of a promising new-generation manned transport spacecraft has been completed. The work was carried out by specialists from the Center for Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities, which is part of the Roscosmos structure.
The new complex is installed in the spacecraft assembly and testing facility. The stand is designed to prepare the re-entry vehicle before testing and launch.
The equipment includes lifting mechanisms, refueling lines, control systems, gas and liquid supply systems, and power supply. TsENKI reported that the complex will allow for a full cycle of ground preparation of the vehicle.
The new-generation manned transport spacecraft is planned to be used for flights to the prospective Russian orbital station. The spacecraft launches are expected to be carried out using Angara family rockets. In addition, these launch vehicles should put new satellites and modules of the future station into orbit.
