For Russian assault troops: a protective transport modular outfit from the Kalashnikov Concern has been unveiled

In the heavier configuration, the apron, shoulder pads, and neck protection have been enlarged

Specialists from the Scientific Production Firm (NPF) TEKhINKOM (part of the Kalashnikov Concern) have developed a protective transport modular system (ZTMS). The outfit is suitable for fighters of assault units of the Russian Armed Forces.

As reported by the concern's press service, the upgraded ZTMS is presented in 2 versions:

  • basic version with size two armor plates
  • heavier configuration (for assault troops) with an enlarged apron, shoulder pads, and neck protection

The assault version will also include thigh guards. This element is currently undergoing testing.

Previous versions of the ZTMS had already been used by servicemen. However, the system required improvement.
