T-90M and T-72M tanks began to be built with the help of AI

Uralvagonzavod is actively introducing artificial intelligence technologies into tank construction, but only in the most in-demand areas. This was stated by the head of the concern's IT department, Marian Gonchar.

He recalled that one of UVZ's priorities has always been the introduction of the latest technologies into production. However, the concern approached the issue not for the sake of a \"chase for hype\", but specifically to optimize work processes and improve product quality.

AI will not replace an engineer, but it can become an assistant for mechanical engineers, for example, significantly speeding up the work of a process engineer in developing manufacturing processes by removing a significant portion of routine work from them.

Gonchar clarified that AI solutions to improve UVZ's efficiency are introduced only after thorough testing of their productivity and safety.

Earlier it became known that UVZ will pay under a court claim nearly one billion rubles. The debt will have to be repaid by July 2026.

The plant's key products are the latest T-72B3M, T-80BVM and T-90M \"Proryv\" tanks. A few days ago, the concern confirmed the fulfillment of state contracts and denied cuts in production.
