Specialists from UEC-Aviadvigatel have received a patent for a method of automatic control of a gas turbine unit (GTU) used in the energy sector. The development allows compensating for sudden load fluctuations and maintaining stable power generation.
The essence of the invention is in adjusting the fuel supply based on the analysis of the generator phase current and the rotation speed of the free turbine rotor. The system monitors two parameters: the current change module during load shedding or application and the deviation of the rotation speed from the set value. If both deviations exceed the threshold values, fuel consumption correction is initiated. A new value is written to the fuel regulator integrator, which depends on the measured generator phase current in accordance with the reference characteristic. If the rotation speed is higher or lower than normal, the calculated value is additionally decreased or increased by a specified amount.
After the frequency returns to the acceptable range and the timer is triggered, the correction is disabled, and the unit switches to standard control algorithms.
The technical result is an increase in the quality of electricity, stabilization of the GTU operation during sudden load changes, and an increase in the reliability of gas turbine engines in the energy industries.
