The total operating time of gas turbine power units GTA-6RM has exceeded 3.5 million hours. During operation, the equipment generated so much electricity that it would be enough to supply a city with a population of over one million people for a whole year, UEC reported.
GTA-6RM units are used to generate electric and thermal energy, as well as to supply energy to industrial enterprises and social infrastructure.
The installations have confirmed their reliability during operation in various regions of the country, noted Andrey Vorobyov, General Director of UEC Engineering.
Since 2006, UEC-Gas Turbines has produced 103 units, which are operated by 16 of the largest companies in the fuel and energy and industrial sectors of Russia. Their total output exceeds 20 million megawatt-hours.
The conversion turbine for GTA-6RM was developed on the basis of the D-30KU/KP aviation engine, which is equipped on Il-76MD, A-50 or Il-78 aircraft, UEC reminded.
