Rosmorport specialists have completed dredging works in the water area of berth No. 9 in the port of Taganrog. Now, passenger hydrofoil ships (SPK) of project 03580 "Meteor-120R" and tourist motor ships of the "Mustai Karim" type of project PV300 will be able to enter here, the press service of the enterprise reported.
The work was performed by a dredger caravan based on the multi-bucket dredger "Kuban-2". The technical fleet vessel selected more than 20 thousand cubic meters of soil, providing navigation depths of 3.3 m.
Specialists also equipped floating berth No. 9 with a gangway for safe boarding/disembarkation of passengers, including people with disabilities. In the near future, they will begin dredging operations on the Taganrog approach channel. It is planned to use a dredger caravan based on the multi-bucket dredger "Severo-Zapadny-503".
Rosmorport added that the total volume of work in the port of Taganrog will exceed more than 1 million cubic meters.
