The American service Cloudflare has canceled the "spyware" classification for the domains of the alternative Telegram client Telega. As the project's press service told Gazeta.Ru, the label was removed from the resources telega.me and api.telega.info after the team provided a detailed description of the application's architecture.
The developers emphasized that the client works through the official Telegram API using the MTProto protocol, and user data is protected by the messenger's standard encryption.
Earlier, on April 9, Cloudflare assigned the domains the status of spyware, which coincided with the removal of Telega from the App Store. The company believes that what happened was a mistake and is now completing the restoration of the TLS certificate.
Telega remains available on Google Play and RuStore, but the return to the Apple store depends on the corporation's response to the developers' request.
Earlier, on March 20, an anonymous article "Technical analysis of a MITM attack in the Telega client" appeared on the network, which claimed that the application had hidden functionality for intercepting data between the user and Telegram servers.
