A KAMAZ-54901 K5 generation truck tractor has entered the fleet of one of the key transport companies in Siberia. The vehicle has already hit the road and will be used to deliver petroleum products along the region's main routes.
The truck tractor is equipped with a KAMAZ six-cylinder in-line engine with a capacity of 482 horsepower and a twelve-speed robotic transmission. This combination provides confident acceleration, smooth gear shifting, and economical fuel consumption even when fully loaded.
The cabin features a flat floor, a multi-steering wheel with cruise control buttons, and a large 15.6-inch touchscreen display of the on-board system.
The vehicle has undergone special preparation for the transportation of dangerous goods and has received a certificate of compliance with international ADR regulations. Constructive improvements include enhanced protection of the fuel system, modernized wiring, and additional passive safety elements. This allows for the safe transportation of flammable and explosive substances.
According to representatives of the carrier, the truck tractor has already demonstrated good dynamics on snowy sections of roads and stable operation of systems in low-temperature conditions.
KAMAZ-54901 K5 generation is the flagship model of the plant for long-haul transportation. Vehicles of this series are gradually replacing the fleet of the previous generation in logistics companies throughout Russia.
