Kamikaze drones will become long-range: Russia has solved the problem of battery discharge

The development of the academy of the Strategic Missile Forces consists of a controlled power shutdown unit

Specialists of the Military Academy of the Strategic Missile Forces named after Peter the Great have developed a new battery discharge system that allows increasing the flight range of kamikaze drones. They proposed to make power sources disposable.

Engineers have calculated that dropping spent battery charges sequentially reduces the overall weight of the drone. It is assumed that they are activated sequentially.

The device for discharging spent batteries consists of a controlled unit for switching off and on power from a chemical current source, a locking mechanism with a servo drive, and a common power bus for the discharge device.

Captain of the first rank of the reserve Vasily Dandykin explained that in recent years drones have evolved dramatically. If earlier they were often used as a means of the first strike, now they perform tasks independently — from suppressing air defense systems to hitting objects.
