The "Urals Locomotives" plant (Verkhnyaya Pyshma) has shipped two five-car dual-system electric trains "Finist" for operation on the Kuibyshev Railway. This was reported in the press service of JSC "Sinara-Transport Machines".
Trains from the first delivery will run in the Chelyabinsk region and Bashkiria. Another 9 "Finists" are expected to be shipped: 8 five-car trains and 1 eight-car train.
The trains are produced in 2 versions: ES104 for railway sections with direct current and ES105 for sections with alternating current. The plant will also supply "Finist" series ES104 to the Sverdlovsk and Oktyabrskaya railways, and ES105 to the North Caucasus Railway.
About "Finists"
Electric trains were developed by specialists of the "Urals Locomotives" plant. Thanks to domestic traction equipment, "Finist" accelerates to 160 km/h. Engineers placed traction units in intermediate cars so that railway workers could quickly change the composition of the train.
The five-car configuration of the train has more than 400 seats. Inside the train there are comfortable seats, luggage racks with fasteners for sports equipment. Additional comfort in the cabin is provided by a microclimate and air disinfection system.
