18 unmanned KamAZ trucks of the "Mayak-2" project are already operating on the M-11 and Central Ring Road highways. During the tests, they traveled about 6 million km and transported 732 thousand cubic meters of cargo. The object recognition range has increased to 80 m, and the lane detection range to 100 m.

"Mayak-3" will add duplication of control by computer, steering wheel and brakes, as well as a sensor cleaning system.

By 2030, the fleet of cargo drones in Russia should exceed 4 thousand vehicles. KamAZ remains the only manufacturer of highly automated tractors on its own chassis. The launch on the M-12 is a step towards mass production, which will begin with the "Mayak-3" version.
