100 new LiAZ-6274 electric buses have arrived in Moscow. According to Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov, the vehicles will replace diesel buses on existing routes. In total, 570 vehicles of this model are already operating in the capital.
The improved configuration electric buses (deliveries since 2022) have increased their range from 40–50 to 80–90 km while maintaining the same weight. The cabin is equipped with adaptive lighting, USB slots, climate control, an 18% larger front route indicator, and an electric heater without emissions. Low floor, ramp, and driver call button are available for passengers with limited mobility.
Each electric bus reduces CO2 emissions by 60 tons per year compared to a bus. The fleet of 570 vehicles saves 34,200 tons of carbon dioxide annually. Moscow's orders stimulate the development of domestic electric bus construction — the LiAZ-6274 is entirely Russian-made.
