The very principle of making an appointment with a doctor may change in Russian clinics - instead of the usual reception desk, a digital administrator will start working with patients. The AI agent was created by a team of specialists from the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" and ITMO University.
How it works for the patient
The AI administrator is embedded in the clinic's messenger and widget on the website. The patient simply writes there - and receives answers to their questions.
The model finds the necessary information in the knowledge base, which contains data on all specialists, services and their cost. Through the same interface, you can make an appointment, cancel it, or reschedule it. Communication with the clinic completely switches to the messenger format.
How the system is arranged
The platform allows you to simultaneously serve dozens of medical institutions on one infrastructure. At the same time, each of them operates in a separate protected circuit.
All data is encrypted and stored only in Russia. The AI itself performs exclusively administrative functions: it does not participate in diagnostics and does not prescribe treatment. Therefore, it does not require a medical license.
The system is integrated with two key circuits of the clinic at once. On the one hand, with the medical information system, where the doctors' schedule is kept. On the other hand, with the CRM used by the sales department.
The AI administrator prototype leads the full cycle of interaction with the patient, including repeat visits.
Where they are already testing
The project is currently undergoing a pilot launch in a dental clinic in Ryazan. In the near future, testing will also begin in St. Petersburg and Orenburg.
The developers expect that in the future the system will be implemented in both public and private medical institutions.
