The "Stan" machine tool holding (part of Rostec) has mastered the production of an instrumental magazine for automatic change of grinding wheels weighing up to 60 kg. Previously, such systems were manufactured by only one German company. Russia has become the second country in the world to produce such products.
The development was carried out by the Moscow company "Grinding Machines", which is part of the holding. The creation of its own instrumental magazine was a response to sanctions and the cessation of supplies of foreign equipment.
The device is designed for 18 positions and provides automatic installation of wheels in the motor spindle of the machine. A key feature is the ability to work with wheels assembled with a mandrel weighing up to 60 kg. Most of the components are of Russian production, a significant part of the parts are manufactured at the enterprise itself. The software for controlling the instrumental magazine is fully developed by the company's specialists and integrated into the CNC system of the machine.
The development and manufacture of the first sample took about six months. Now the instrumental magazine is undergoing testing, after which mass production is planned. The first products will be installed on SXS 512 TC grinding machines.
