The ship of project 1124 "Albatross" also carried out depth bombing

The crew of the small anti-submarine ship (MPK) "Yunga" (project 1124 "Albatross") as part of combat training performed torpedo firing in the Barents Sea at a submarine of a mock enemy. This was reported by the press service of the Northern Fleet.

The ship's anti-submarine crew, using a sonar system, detected and classified the target.

Taking into account the bearing and distance to the target, the ship's crew set course for training combat, after which they fired a torpedo without a warhead at a target simulating an enemy submarine.

The crew of "Yunga" also carried out depth bombing (strikes are carried out with powerful charges at depth). The maneuvers took place in an area closed to navigation.

MPCs of project 1124 "Albatross" are designed to search for and destroy submarines. The ships are equipped with 2 rotary torpedo tubes, RBU-6000 rocket launchers, as well as anti-aircraft and artillery weapons - "Osa-MA", AK-176 and AK-630.
