Foreigners Did Not Pay UEC $2.1 Million for Turbines

The corporation filed a lawsuit against the Argentine Transportadora de Gas del Sur

The United Engine Corporation (UEC) has filed a lawsuit with the Moscow Arbitration Court against the Argentine gas transportation company Transportadora de Gas del Sur. UEC is demanding to recover about $2.1 million in debt under previously concluded contracts.

The dispute is related to the supply of gas turbine equipment and maintenance services. Back in 2018, the parties cooperated on energy projects, when UEC supplied engines and provided support for compressor stations.

At the preliminary hearing, the plaintiff's representative clarified that the issue concerns debts under contracts, but did not disclose details. The defendant did not appear at the hearing, and the court has no confirmation that the company was properly notified of the process.

The next hearing is scheduled for November 24. By this time, the court expects to receive the position of both parties and proceed to consider the dispute on the merits.

UEC is a key engine manufacturer in Russia, operating in several industries, from aviation to energy. It concerns new PD-8, PD-14 and PD-35 engines, as well as gas units GTD-110M.
