Ferry "Vasily Oshchepkov" is 82% ready - delivery in 2027

The CNF11CPD project vessel will be built to operate on the Kholmsk - Vanino line

The assembly of the ferry "Vasily Oshchepkov" of the CNF11CPD project continues in Vladivostok at the completion base of the Amur Shipbuilding Plant. The technical readiness of the vessel exceeds 82%. The facility is being built by order of the State Transport Leasing Company.

The day before, an on-site meeting was held at the company's site with the participation of the plant's management and representatives of the customer. The participants inspected production workshops, slipway areas and infrastructure facilities. The Minister of Transport and Road Management, Maxim Zhogolev, said that the commission assessed the current state of work and confirmed that construction is proceeding according to plan. The ferry is scheduled to be completed in 2027.

"Vasily Oshchepkov" will be the second CNF11CPD project ferry on the Kholmsk — Vanino line. The lead vessel of the series, "Alexander Deev", built at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant, has been operating on the crossing between Sakhalin and the mainland since 2023. The fleet renewal for the island region is under the personal control of the Governor of the Sakhalin Region, Valery Limarenko.
