Su-30 fighters can fly for hours at extremely low altitudes in ambush

Military pilot Popov spoke about the tactics of the combat vehicle in air battles

Fourth-generation Su-30 fighters can loiter at extremely low altitudes for one and a half to two hours during an ambush. Honored Military Pilot of Russia, Major General Vladimir Popov spoke about the tactics of combat vehicles.

It is not necessary to come to intercept and leave immediately. This only happens during massive strikes or when someone is going in a group - takes off from the airfield and goes on the attack.

Popov added that after launching a missile, the Su-30 does not leave this zone, but only "changes its point of standing."

Earlier, the Major General also explained the principle of operation of the Su-35S when launching missiles to reduce the energy loss of the ammunition. He explained why the fighter suddenly soars upward with its nose up at a speed of up to 800 km/h.

Military analyst Evgeny Damantsev stated that after equipping with turbofan AL-41F1S afterburning engines and N035 Irbis-E radar stations, the Su-30 series fighters will significantly increase their combat power.
