The Russian and Vietnamese sides are moving to the practical implementation of oil and gas projects in the territories of both countries. The corresponding agreements were signed by the companies Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam. This was announced by the Chairman of the Government of Russia Mikhail Mishustin during negotiations with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
In the oil and gas sector — in furtherance of intergovernmental agreements — Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam have concluded agreements that will allow them to proceed with the practical implementation of projects for the development of fields in Russia and Vietnam.
According to the head of the Russian Cabinet, the agreements reached in the energy sector became a logical continuation of intergovernmental decisions. The signed documents create a legal basis for starting work on the development of hydrocarbon fields both in Russia and in Vietnam.
The cooperation between Zarubezhneft and Petrovietnam will allow the use of the technological competencies and experience of both companies. It is expected that joint projects will strengthen the countries' positions in the energy markets of the Asia-Pacific region and ensure long-term supply stability.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rosatom will build a nuclear power plant in Vietnam with a capacity of 2400 MW.
