A new CNC gear shaper has started operating in the mechanical workshop No. 63 of the Kolomna Plant (TMH). It is designed for cutting internal gears — one of the most complex operations that cannot be fully performed on broaching machines.
Now the plant can produce parts with high precision and surface quality exactly where problems used to arise.
This is the second machine of this type in the workshop. The first has been operating for more than a year and has proven itself well. The main difference of the new machine is the increased height of the frame. Thanks to this, the machine can process larger parts, including large drive bushings for diesel engines.
Machining accuracy is achieved through several independent drives, each of which performs its own task. The machine is operated by two operators.
The equipment was installed as part of the next stage of the technical re-equipment program of the Kolomna Plant JSC, which is part of Transmashholding.
