There are no analogues to the Russian hypersonic missile "Zircon" in the world, only a few countries are developing similar technologies. This was stated by military expert Alexander Khrolenko.
"Zircon" is a powerful sea-based missile. In addition to Russia, only China, North Korea and Iran have reached the creation of hypersonic weapons. No other country in the world possesses such weapons.
The commander of the missile and artillery combat unit of the frigate "Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov", Georgy Roslyakov, noted that the missile is almost impossible to shoot down due to its speed characteristics.
Opponents will not see the missile on the radars, since, in addition to speed, "Zircon" incorporates stealth technologies.
It should be noted that the danger of "Zircon" is due to its high maneuverability and plasma cloud, which absorbs radio waves and makes it difficult to detect by radars. Its interception requires high density and technological sophistication of defense systems.
"Zircon" is capable of speeds up to 9 Mach and has a range of up to 1000 km. Military analyst Yuri Knutov claimed that it is impossible to shoot down the missile with existing air defense systems.
