Instant Shield: Tor-M2 anti-aircraft system accelerated deployment to 3 minutes

In 2026, the troops of the Moscow Military District will receive more than 100 modern models of weapons and equipment. The key reinforcement will concern air defense forces, the military will receive new Tor-M2 anti-aircraft missile systems, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.

The complex is deployed in 3 minutes, operates autonomously in combat formations and fires on the move, the National Course publication noted.

Modern models of armored and automotive equipment, missile and artillery systems, communications equipment, electronic warfare equipment, and engineering equipment will also be sent to the units. Along with the equipment, simulators for training crews and practicing emergency situations will be delivered to the units.

The vehicle retains mobility and cross-country ability on difficult terrain, covering troops and facilities from a wide range of air threats.

The district will also receive T-80BVM and T-90M tanks, 152-mm Hyacinth-K and Malva artillery systems, BMP-3s, and other equipment of the ground forces.

As a reminder, the production of the Tor-M2 is carried out by IEMZ Kupol, which is part of the Almaz-Antey concern. The family of complexes is used to defend military and infrastructure facilities, and the Tor-M2KM module is also used on naval carriers.
