A Soviet tracked artillery tractor ATS-59G from 1982 is up for sale in Novosibirsk. The vehicle has not been used, it has been preserved in the condition of new equipment, the seller is asking 3.5 million rubles for it.
ATS-59G was created for towing M-46 and D-20 guns, transporting crews and supplying units in off-road conditions.
The model became a development of the basic ATS-59 tractor and received an enlarged cabin for an expanded crew. Serial production was launched at the Kurgan Machine-Building Plant.
The tractor is equipped with a diesel engine with a capacity of about 300 hp and develops a speed of up to 45 km/h. Wide tracks and a high-torque power plant provide high cross-country ability on snow, swamps and broken dirt roads. Machines of this type have served for decades in the artillery units of the USSR and the Warsaw Pact countries.
