New modification of the Tor-MU anti-aircraft defense system entered the troops

The complex controls the airspace within a radius of up to 32 km

The Russian military began using the modernized Tor-MU anti-aircraft missile system (SAM). The key update of the system is a new detection station, which expands the ability to detect low-visibility targets and increases the complex's resistance to interference.

Tor-MU automatically adjusts the equipment even during the advance to the position, which reduces the deployment time to several minutes.

Mechanic-driver Vitaly Petrov noted that in terms of convenience, the Tor-MU can be compared to a good car.

Here is my steering wheel. We turn right, left, turning is good enough. Like in a foreign car. Our gearbox is automatic, just like at home in the car.

The updated complex controls the airspace within a radius of up to 32 km. An optical sight with a thermal imager supports operation at night and in difficult weather conditions. Guidance is possible in automatic and manual modes. Targets are engaged at a range of up to 12.5 km.

The main load falls on the interception of drones of various classes. The crew operates in a 24-hour combat duty mode, accompanying troop maneuvers and quickly changing positions.
