A large-scale testing of the "whitelist" system of Internet resources has begun in Moscow, due to which mobile communications and the Internet in different areas of the city work differently. In the center of the capital, many users still face the fact that smartphones roll back to the slow EDGE standard (2.75G), and full-fledged mobile Internet remains unavailable.
At the same time, in some areas of the Central Administrative District, the situation is gradually changing: the network begins to work partially, but only sites included in the so-called "whitelist" open.
The restrictions also affected the metro. According to sources, on some lines, even when connected to Wi-Fi, Internet access may be limited - only authorized resources work.
The Kremlin confirms that the restrictions create additional difficulties, but their consequences will be analyzed.
As for the problems that this presents for business, of course, this is a subject for further analysis. In different contexts, the topic of adding certain resources to whitelists arises. As the experience is analyzed, various solutions will be proposed to those problems that, unfortunately, accompany these restrictions.
At the same time, the Kremlin representative stressed that all communication restrictions are introduced in strict accordance with applicable law, and information about the relevant measures was published in advance.
