Fraudsters have started sending SMS messages to Russians warning about hacking an account on "Gosuslugi" and strongly requesting a call back. This was reported by a representative of the "Moshelovka" platform, created to combat fraud.

Fraudsters are massively switching to the "callback" tactic.

According to him, the SMS message asks the victim to urgently call the specified number. When calling back, the subscriber allegedly gets into the call center of the support service. They are asked to dictate the bank card number or the code from the SMS message.

They are trying to involve users of "Gosuslugi", clients of online banks and microfinance organizations (MFIs) in the criminal scheme. In March, this scheme is still relevant, because not many people know about it. Therefore, fraudsters are betting on the gullibility of citizens.

How not to fall for the bait of criminals

A representative of Moshelovka advised not to call back an unfamiliar number. If a telephone conversation has already begun and fraudsters ask to transfer funds to another account under any pretext, you should immediately hang up. Employees of state organizations never request a call back, he concluded.
