Kazan Helicopter Plant (KVZ) maintained production volumes, but faced a drop in profits amid currency factors and rising costs. In 2024, the company assembled 79 helicopters, according to the Business Online publication.
Revenue increased by 14% and reached 59 billion rubles, but net profit decreased by 109 million — to 1.24 billion rubles.
The key pressure on the plant was exerted by exchange rate differences. If in 2023 the currency revaluation brought the plant 7.8 billion rubles of income, then in 2024 — only 2.8 billion.
The company finished 2025 approximately at the level of the previous year. Revenue amounted to about 58.4 billion rubles against 59 billion a year earlier. Helicopter sales decreased to 50.7 billion rubles from 54.3 billion. The reason is a fivefold reduction in supplies to Asian countries and the absence of contracts in Africa.
Total revenue was supported by spare parts sales. The cost of sales increased by 12% — to 46.2 billion rubles.
Kazan Helicopter Plant is part of the Russian Helicopters holding of Rostec, produces Mi-8, Mi-17, Ansat and other models. Previously, lawsuits were filed against it due to debt of 881 million rubles.
