Yandex will expand its partner network of electric charging station operators as part of the Yandex Electro project.
The company will collaborate with operators installing stations for electric vehicles, helping to select locations with sustainable demand and improve their efficiency.
The project has already been joined by Biset, Electro.Cars, and other operators. They currently manage over a thousand public EV charging stations.
To select new locations, Yandex intends to use geoanalytics and artificial intelligence-based technologies. Special ML models analyze anonymized data about cities, traffic flows, and user behavior to predict demand for charging.
Partner charging stations will also be integrated into the company's services. Finding and paying for charging will be possible through Yandex Maps, Yandex Refills, and the Yandex Pro app.
