Most agro-industrial enterprises must switch to Russian software by 2030

Russia is encouraging the abandonment of foreign IT solutions in favor of domestic software

The Russian government has amended the strategic direction for the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex through 2030. By that time, at least 80% of enterprises must switch to Russian software. The relevant directive was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

This refers to basic and applied domestic software that supports "core production and management processes".

The government also identified another priority for the digital maturity of the agro-industrial complex. This is the expansion of information exchange with industry organizations and the transfer of the state systems of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture to the Unified Digital Platform (UDP) of the agro-industrial complex.

The government press service added that the UDP will be launched by the end of 2026. With its help, it will be possible to analyze the state of the agro-industrial complex and forecast growth in certain indicators.

The plan for the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex through 2030 was approved in November 2023. The industry document provides for strategic planning for the development of the sector.

What tasks will the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex solve:

  • optimization of agricultural producers' costs
  • establishment of product sales channels
  • interaction with government agencies
