EMERCOM strengthens its fleet: KMZ supplied patrol boats and airboats for hard-to-reach areas

Deliveries are ahead of schedule - the entire batch of 57 vehicles is planned to be handed over early

In February, the Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant (KMZ) delivered a large batch of watercraft to EMERCOM of Russia. It included two high-speed PK-500 boats, three RPK-640 boats, and seven airboats, the company reported.

The PK-500 is a high-speed boat designed for rivers and lakes. It combines a smooth ride with high seaworthiness and is suitable for inspections, patrol missions, and rescue operations. Thanks to its well-designed hull lines, the boat is maneuverable and stable, and it has been assigned the highest safety rating.

The RPK-640 is a rigid-hull vessel with an enclosed wheelhouse and self-draining cockpits. It is intended for operation on inland waters and in coastal sea zones, where it can perform both official transport and rescue functions.

Airboats are hovercraft-capable boats able to travel over ice, hummocks, shallow water, mountain rivers, and swamps. They are indispensable for delivering people and urgent cargo to hard-to-reach places, as well as for patrols and inspections.
