Ka-52 Helicopter Dubbed Drone Killer

Combat vehicle shot down 25 drones in a single sortie

The crew of a Ka-52 reconnaissance and attack helicopter of the Russian Aerospace Forces shot down 25 unmanned aerial vehicles of the enemy in a single combat sortie. What is surprising is not only the quantity, which is currently inaccessible to any other weapon, but also the fact that all targets were hit from a cannon, noted a military blogger, a specialist in combat aviation, Fighterbomber.

As a reminder, the combat vehicle is equipped with a mobile gun mount with a 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon and a 460-round ammunition load, and blocks of unguided aircraft rockets (NAR) with a caliber of 122 and 80 mm.

Additionally, the helicopter can be equipped with the Shturm-VU anti-tank missile system (ATGM) with 9M120-1 Ataka guided missiles equipped with a laser homing head (LGSN), unguided air-to-surface missiles with a caliber of up to 240 mm (in particular, the S-24 type), as well as Igla-V short-range air-to-air guided missiles.
