Altai Tire Plant (ASHK) has begun manufacturing prototype aircraft tires intended for the nose landing gear of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger airliner. The project is being implemented as part of the state import substitution program and is aimed at ensuring the technological autonomy of the Russian aviation industry.
A key stage was the comprehensive modernization of the production lines. To master the new product, an innovative vulcanization technology using a hydraulic press and a segmented mold was introduced — a solution that had not previously been used at the enterprise. Installation of the full technological complex has been completed: from specialized assembly lines to a unit for producing bead rings. Commissioning work and equipment calibration are currently underway.
Following the project’s implementation, ASHK will become the only enterprise in the Russian Federation capable of producing the full range of tires for all landing gear supports of the Sukhoi Superjet 100. The decision will not only eliminate the need for imported components for this aircraft type, but will also strengthen the plant’s position as a strategic partner of the domestic aircraft industry.
