A flare of the penultimate power class occurred on the Sun on February 13. This was reported by the press service of the Institute of Applied Geophysics of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "IPG".
at 11:58 Moscow time, an M1.1 flare lasting 48 minutes was recorded in the X-ray range in sunspot group 4373 (N08W16).
The geomagnetic situation on February 13 is assessed as stable. But the next day, slight disturbances and class M flares are possible.
The Laboratory of Solar Astronomy IKI and ISZF also reported that a smiley face measuring 1.5 million km appeared on the Sun. The eyes of the celestial body became two formed regions. The "smile" of the celestial body became a giant prominence measuring about half a million km.
