Russian military personnel have destroyed thousands of enemy drones using the Verba man-portable air defense system (MANPADS). This was stated by a representative of the holding "High-Precision Systems" (part of Rostec) at the World Defense Show in Riyadh.
The complex works against drones - and it's nice to hear that "Verba" shoots down thousands of drones.
According to him, "Verba" is used against reconnaissance drones and when repelling attacks by strike drones.
MANPADS was developed by specialists from the "Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering" in Kolomna. The complex was adopted in 2014. It is produced by the Degtyarev plant in Kovrov (Vladimir region).
