The Republic of Belarus is actively working on the creation of a short-range anti-aircraft missile system, as well as a specialized ammunition for grenade launchers of various modifications. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Military Industrial Committee (Goskomvoyenprom), Dmitry Pantus, during the final meeting of the board in Minsk.
According to information provided by Pantus, the imminent appearance of an innovative anti-aircraft missile and gun system is expected, which will combine missile and artillery assets for effective protection against unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The development will be an important step in strengthening national capabilities to counter modern threats in the air, including small-sized drones used in military conflicts.
Goskomvoyenprom emphasizes the continuous improvement of its competencies in the field of defense technologies. Considering the current geopolitical situation, Belarus is strengthening cooperation with strategic allies — the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China. Special attention is paid to the training of specialists: Belarusian designers are trained in leading universities in Russia and China in the fields of aircraft construction, rocket construction, and related disciplines.
