Among Russia's advanced short-range air defense (AD) systems, the Tor-M2 and Pantsir-S1 complexes are of the greatest interest to foreign buyers. This was stated by Igor Korotchenko, head of the Centre for Analysis of World Arms Trade (TsAMTO).
According to him, air defense systems are moving into first place due to the general understanding of the threat posed by strike and reconnaissance-class unmanned systems. In the medium-range segment, foreign attention is focused on the Viking and S-400 Triumph systems.
Russian combat and trainer aircraft are attracting no less interest as well, including the first contract for the delivery of the Su-57E. Stable deliveries of the Su-30 and Yak-130M also point to this. Foreign buyers are also interested in various types of armored vehicles — main battle tanks and all kinds of armored machines.
In addition, Korotchenko emphasized interest in Russian loitering munitions and drones.
A day earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on military-technical cooperation. According to him, the total foreign-currency revenue under export contracts in this area exceeded $15 billion. Overall, Rosoboronexport's export order portfolio exceeded $60 billion.
