The commander of the artillery division explained that the key feature of the Hyacinth-K self-propelled artillery unit (2S44) is its ability to quickly change firing positions after completing a task. According to him, the vehicle arrives at a point, performs calculations, fires a volley, and almost immediately leaves the position.
Speed, stealth, accuracy - that's our everything. It took less than twenty minutes for everything, and we had already hit the stronghold and hid the equipment.
This creates serious difficulties for the enemy: while reconnaissance and counter-battery warfare assets record the coordinates of the shot and prepare a retaliatory strike, the self-propelled gun is already in another area.
This "shot and scoot" tactic, combined with camouflage elements, significantly reduces the vulnerability of the unit to drone strikes and counter-battery fire. High mobility is provided by a wheeled chassis, which allows you to quickly move on roads and rough terrain.
The "Hyacinth-K" is equipped with an automated guidance and fire control system, which allows you to hit targets with high accuracy - in most cases, three shells are enough. The firing range reaches 30 km or more, depending on the type of ammunition, and the 152 mm gun retains the ballistics of the proven 2A36 gun.
