Rossiya Airlines (part of the Aeroflot Group) will continue flights to Havana and Varadero despite reports from Cuba's aviation authorities about a shortage of aviation fuel. The group's parent company reported this on its Telegram channel.
Against the backdrop of reports from Cuba about a shortage of aviation fuel at the airports of Havana and Varadero, Aeroflot will continue to operate Rossiya Airlines' flight program to the specified destinations.
If the situation changes, Aeroflot will inform passengers about the current status of flights to Cuba.
Earlier it became known that Russians in Cuba had begun to be mass evicted from hotels under the pretext of an acute fuel shortage. Vacationers were offered relocation to lower-category hotels, where power outages are not as severe, but they were not compensated for the price difference in any way.
Vacationers told journalists that in recent days they had to leave the five-star hotels Valentin Patriarca, Marina Varadero, and Paradisus Varadero. Soon, the four-star Bella Costa, Villa Gale, Tuxpan, and Caleta Palma Real will also stop accepting guests.
