Russians may be exempted from providing a medical certificate when taking a driving test, RIA Novosti reports.
According to the document, this will be possible when applying through the "Gosuslugi" portal, if the candidate's health data is already contained in a single electronic registry.
Currently, to take the exam, it is necessary to provide a passport, a medical certificate, and a document confirming completion of training at a driving school. Minors additionally submit written consent from legal representatives.
From March 1, 2026, Russia will have a register of patients with 12 groups of non-infectious diseases, including mental disorders, heart, liver, and lung diseases.
