A rare 1978 VAZ-2103 in nearly perfect condition has been put up for sale in Penza Region. The seller describes the car as a "time capsule": over 46 years, the vehicle has covered only 23,000 kilometers.
The listing notes that the car has fully retained its factory configuration, all elements are original, the documents have been updated, and the seller has been the sole owner in recent years. The car is painted gold, has left-hand steering, and rear-wheel drive.
The example offered for sale is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 77 hp, a four-speed manual transmission, and rear-wheel drive.
The car is priced at 1,500,000 rubles. For comparison, VAZ-2103 cars produced in 1974 had previously appeared on the market for 2–3.5 million rubles, making the current option relatively affordable for collectors. The car is of interest as a collector's item or as a gift for an enthusiast of the domestic automotive industry.
The VAZ-2103 was mass-produced from 1972 to 1984 at the Volga Automobile Plant. In total, about 1.3 million cars of various modifications were produced.
