Specialists from NPO Kaisant have improved the anti-aircraft missile system

Russian servicemen have begun using the latest short-range man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) Hermes against drones. This was reported by an official representative of the research and production association (NPO) Kaisant.

The MANPADS was created for protection against helicopters and low-flying UAVs of various types. According to a representative of the developer company, significant changes were made to the Hermes design. The missile system's fuel compartment was refined, and aerodynamics were improved. The product has become more controllable.

In addition, the launcher itself is now designed not for three shots, but for five.
