Many foreign countries gladly buy the Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system (ZRPK) from Russia. This was reported by Rostec chief Sergey Chemezov.
According to him, it is currently the most popular air defense system.
It has proven itself well for us, and many countries gladly buy it, including the Emirates. Therefore, cooperation is developing.
Let us recall that the Pantsir family includes various systems. The self-propelled Pantsir-S1 carries two twin-barrel 2A38M 30 mm cannons and anti-aircraft missiles.
The Pantsir modification with a missile-and-gun combat unit is mainly mounted on wheeled and tracked chassis. According to open sources, Russia signed contracts for the supply of Pantsir systems with Algeria, Iraq, and the UAE. The exact number of systems transferred to foreign partners is unknown.
A few weeks ago, Russian military service was observed using an unusual modernized variant of the Pantsir-S1M, but with the new 1RS-3E radar station from the Pantsir-M version.
