Motorcycle sales in Russia set a new record

In 2025, more than 51 thousand new motorcycles were sold in Russia

In 2025, just over 51 thousand new motorcycles were sold in Russia, which is 19% more than a year earlier. These figures were provided by experts from the Avtostat agency, citing statistics from AO "PPK". Sales in this segment have updated the historical maximum for the second year in a row.

The new motorcycle market has been growing for 34 months in a row; the last decline was recorded in February 2023.

The main growth factor was the expansion of supply through more affordable Chinese-made models, which replaced the European, Japanese, and American brands that left the market.

The share of Chinese motorcycles in 2025 reached 72.2% versus 70.5% a year earlier. The market leader remains the Regulmoto brand — 9.5 thousand motorcycles sold, which corresponds to about 19% of the market. It is followed by Racer (4.3 thousand), Motoland (4.2 thousand), Voge (3.4 thousand), and Kayo (2.4 thousand). The Indian brand Bajaj also sold more than 2 thousand units.

The most popular model of 2025 was the Motoland XF300 with 3.3 thousand units sold. Last year's leader, the Racer RC300 (2 thousand), dropped to second place, while the Regulmoto Sport (1.7 thousand) came third. The Voge DS and Regulmoto TE models also surpassed the 1 thousand sales mark.

Almost every fifth new motorcycle was sold in Moscow or the Moscow Region — the combined share of the regions amounted to 21%. The top five largest markets also included St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Krai, and Sverdlovsk Region.
