In 2026, the implementation of the federal project "General Cleaning", aimed at eliminating sunken vessels, will continue in six subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District. According to Rosmorrechflot, the plans for this year include raising and sending for disposal 17 water transport objects that pose an environmental and navigational threat.
The work will cover the Kamchatka Territory (4 vessels), the Sakhalin Region (3 vessels), the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (5 vessels), the Primorsky and Magadan regions (2 vessels each), as well as the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), where one vessel will be disposed of.
The project is being implemented jointly by Rosmorrechflot and regional authorities, which are the main operators of the activities. In total, between 2025 and 2030, the initiative plans to extract and dispose of 103 sunken vessels in six Far Eastern regions.
