Tu-22M3 bombers escorted by Su-35S fly over the Baltic Sea

Russian Ministry of Defense: Foreign fighters escorted Russian aircraft on some sections of the route

Long-range supersonic missile-carrying bombers Tu-22M3 of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed a scheduled flight over the Baltic Sea. This was reported in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The missile-carrying bombers were escorted by Su-35S and Su-30SM fighters. The flight duration exceeded 5 hours.

The Russian Ministry of Defense added that in some sections of the route, the Russian Tu-22M3s were followed by fighters from foreign countries.

All flights of the Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.

Long-range aviation aircraft regularly fly over the Arctic, the North Atlantic, the Pacific Ocean, the Baltic and Black Seas. Flights are carried out over neutral waters.
