OAO "Minsk Tractor Works" (MTZ) plans to launch serial production of BELARUS 5425 tractors in 2027. This was reported by the press service of the Government of the Republic of Belarus.
The full cycle of creating the new BELARUS 5425 tractor with a capacity of more than 500 hp was demonstrated to Prime Minister of Belarus Aleksandr Turchin.
At the moment, the plant is preparing to produce the second tractor of this model after the successful launch of the first one. By the end of May, it is planned to complete the assembly of five tractors.
The enterprise also wants to increase output of the flagship BELARUS 3522 tractors. As early as January 2026, it plans to produce more than 90 units monthly.
BELARUS 5425 is a class 8 tractor with a 4 by 4 wheel arrangement and a powerful Weichai WP14T engine (542 hp). The tractor received a hydro-mechanical stepped gearbox including 18 forward gears and 6 reverse gears with electro-hydraulic control. This design solution makes it possible to shift gears without interrupting the power flow.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that MTZ increased production of BELARUS-3522 tractors by 30% over 11 months of 2025.
