Kamchatka Governor Demands Operators Revise Subscription Fees for Residents Due to Internet Outages

Vladimir Solodov initiated discussions with mobile operators

The Governor of the Kamchatka Territory, Vladimir Solodov, instructed to hold negotiations with mobile operators regarding the possibility of providing discounts or recalculating subscription fees for local residents who have experienced mobile internet outages.

Since December 31, residents of many districts of Vilyuchinsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, and certain territories of the Yelizovsky district have been experiencing internet problems due to the introduced federal restrictions caused by security considerations.

The Governor emphasized that people should not be left without alternative means of communication and at the same time be charged for a service that was not actually provided. Solodov aims to cooperate with mobile operators to discuss the possibility of recalculating subscription fees or providing discounts for the days when communication was unavailable.
